The Québec Chronicles

Colorful surprises...

1-  LA BONNE CHANSON
A pretty essay made by a student from Montreal Université du Québec's  music department on «La Bonne Chanson»: those French and Catholic collections of songs faithfully learned by our grand-parents from the Thirties to the Fifties...

2-  QUÉBEC INFO MUSIQUE http://www.qim.com/
A relatively new, very ambitious and promising site, made by a team of wild and rigorous researchers and collectors from Quebec City. Jammed full of information on Québécois artists and currents in popular song. Complete list of links and a developing CD store. A little slow but it's worth the wait!

3- NOUVEAU MONDE http://www.dellarte.qc.ca/nouveaumonde/
A totally new musical comedy on historical themes... Go visit the attractive website if you want to know more about the show (and perhaps buy it!)

4-  LE GROUPE BORI http://www.bori.com/
An original concept of a group. This team of songwriters, singers, jugglers, comedians and craftsmen have already made their fiercely independent mark on Quebec's musical scene and industry. Strangely beautiful and multi-layered, their website is another example of their appeal.

And don't forget LA TOILE DU QUÉBEC (IN FRENCH BUT WITH EASY-TO-USE CATEGORIES)to accompany you in your search for a good quantity and quality of Québec's music and culture websites!
