Paula Kirman is a writer and Web developer who loves music from all over the World. You might know her from her previous World Music Web site: World Music at About.com, where she was the "Guide" from 1997 to 2001. Inside World Music picks up where she left off, and includes all of the articles and reviews from then to now.

Professional Experience: Paula's favorite music includes Paul Piché from Québec, Konstantin Wecker from Germany, and the band Jethro Tull, from England. Her love of diverse music and instruments led her to take many undergraduate and graduate courses in ethnomusicology, the study of music from other cultures and traditions. Today, she works as a freelance literature and music journalist as well as a Web site consultant and designer, currently running her own business. She writes about books and music for such publications as Prairie Books Now and Readers Showcase.

Education: Paula received a Bachelor of Secondary Education in English and Music from the University of Alberta. She took several ethnomusicology courses, including one at the graduate level.

From Paula Kirman: "I bring you music reviews, interviews with bands and artists, profiles of music companies on the cutting edge, previews of releases about to hit the stores, and the latest news from the music business from different corners of the globe."
