Spreading the Sound of Peace
She has lived in France and East Africa, although America is her home. She is an introspective songwriter who
writes and sings about peace and exotice lands. She has an exciting and powerful stage presence, backed up by
some of the World's most talented musicians from different corners of the globe.
She is Serah, and her new album Wing of Mercy is a live recording featuring some of her best work. With a heavy African influence, Serah's voice soars through rich harmonies.
One of the most stunning tracks on the album is "Hymn of Peace," written especially for the
Concert for Peace at the Hague Appeal for Peace (she was the feature performer there in 1999).
Serah and I talked about the power of music to break down cultural barriers, her African influences, and, of course, peace.
